Sunday was a bad day. I knew it when I woke up to the sound of automatic weapons fire and the smell of the cabin going up in smoke. I don't know if it was BD finally drawing the ire of God Almighty or if I was just receiving karmic backlash for our shenanigans last night, but I was not a happy camper.

We arrived right on schedule thanks to Julie’s ability to navigate these woods. The camp wasn’t really much of anything; a rundown old cabin, some tents, a few shanty huts, and a few dilapidated cars serving as bunks. Still, some shelter was better than no shelter. 7 August 2009 – Day 105

Gangbangers may not be very bright and they may start running scared when you blow holes in a couple of them, but they can be a huge problem in large numbers. They chased us to the Mason-Dixon Line but refused to go any farther. It seems that another rival gang, the “Minutemen,” occupy Western PA.
