Hello,
Attached you will find the article I recently had published by Armor Magazine, the Army's Mounted Warfare Journal. I know some of you are interested in history and the military so I figured I would post it. I look forward to any comments positive or negative.
I read the article the first day you posted but got sidetracked.
Very cool and nice to see coverage of Buford. In 5th grade, during the Christmas party, I acquired the game McPherson's Ridge by swapping a "book" of Lifesavers for pickup sticks and then the pickup sticks for the game. It was an easy acquisition because to the others it wasn't obvious what the game was. I knew though. Had the title eyeballed up at a hobby store in Latrobe for some time but couldn't get the money scrounged together on a 5th grade income. More than a few hours I spent playing the game versus myself with fate being determined by the dice. A lot of that time was spent maneuvering Buford and his men.
Looks like a fun game. Do you still have it? Based upon the price of the game now you got a deal. Well I hope you enjoyed the article. Buford's the man.
