I was thinking of attending, but last time I checked and talked to someof the players out there, you do not allow latex weapons and that is all that I own (and use) anymore.

Welcome to Firefight!

Firefight! is a next generation Live Action Airsoft System for Enhanced Realism.

Influenced in part by programs such as the United States Army’s Operation: Robin Sage, Firefight! Campaign delves into the nature of combat where decisions are made under stress and where the consequences of those decisions matter.

The Firefight! system allows you to create your own game with guidelines for writing scenarios and managing the OPFOR team. Your game could take the form of Mil-Sim, sci-fi, horror, or something completely of your own devising.

Semper Ludere. Always play, have fun.

New Ning group

I added a new RSS feed to the main page of darkthreads.ning.com for The Mythos Society - http://mythossociety.ning.com/activity/log/list?fmt=rss

This new group is for people interested in Cthulhu Live. I think that there will be a lot of overlap with Dark Threads, and Firefight! here.

Solus: Episode 3 AAR (Part 3)

Karma
9 August 2009 – Day 107

Sunday was a bad day. I knew it when I woke up to the sound of automatic weapons fire and the smell of the cabin going up in smoke. I don't know if it was BD finally drawing the ire of God Almighty or if I was just receiving karmic backlash for our shenanigans last night, but I was not a happy camper.

I stumbled out of my bunk, threw my boots on and fumbled for my sidearm, only to realize that it was stowed in one of the cars for safekeeping. Cursing… Continue

Pressing Engagements
8 August 2009 – Day 106

We arrived right on schedule thanks to Julie’s ability to navigate these woods. The camp wasn’t really much of anything; a rundown old cabin, some tents, a few shanty huts, and a few dilapidated cars serving as bunks. Still, some shelter was better than no shelter. Naturally, the locals were suspicious about a group of armed men entering their camp. But I think we were helped by the fact that we showed up in broad daylight and didn’t st… Continue
